Gwich'in ethnoastronomy is the study of Gwich'in knowledge, interpretation, and practise regarding the sky, celestial objects, and celestial phenomena. The GSCI has collaborated on several ethnoastronomy projects starting in 2010, and work continues to today. Ethnoastronomy research is closely intertwined with language research, as the language is the way that people understand and share information about the sky.
